Simultaneous launch of two new tourist routes
On March 15, Sun PhuQuoc Airways officially simultaneously launched two strategic routes: Phu Quoc - Nha Trang (PQC-CXR) and Phu Quoc - Da Nang (PQC-DAD).

Sun Phu Quoc Airways' first flight lands in Nha Trang
Specifically, for the PQC-CXR route, the commercial flight departing from Phu Quoc International Airport landed at Cam Ranh International Airport (Nha Trang) at 15:45; and on the return leg, the flight departing from Cam Ranh also landed in Phu Quoc at 18:00. This route is initially operated with a frequency of 4 flights/week (Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday), and will soon increase to daily frequency.

Concurrently, the PQC-DAD flight route is officially launched with a frequency of one flight per day. The flight schedule is optimally designed with the flight departing from Phu Quoc at 13:15, landing in Da Nang at 15:00; on the return leg, the flight departs from Da Nang at 15:40 and lands in Phu Quoc at 17:25.

Impressive occupancy rate on all 4 initial flights
Notably, all 4 initial flights on the PQC-CXR and PQC-DAD routes departing on March 15 all recorded an impressive occupancy rate of 90-100%. This figure is a clear testament to the appeal of connecting key tourist hubs, while also helping to solve the issue of transit travel in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City as before.
Creating the experience "1 journey, 2 destinations"
Sun PhuQuoc Airways' connection of Ngoc Island with both Nha Trang and Da Nang is a strategic move to realize the message "1 journey, 2 destinations". The flight distance from Phu Quoc to the central coastal cities lasts just over 1 hour, creating ideal conditions for tourists - especially international tourists - to easily design multi-destination tours without strenuous travel.

Nha Trang and Da Nang have long been familiar beach destinations for foreign tourists thanks to their beautiful beach systems and rich cultural heritage. In 2025, Khanh Hoa province welcomed approximately 16.4 million visitors (5.5 million international visitors), while Da Nang also affirmed its position as the gateway to Central Vietnam's tourism with over 17.3 million visitors (including over 7.6 million international visitors). Cam Ranh International Airport and Da Nang International Airport play a crucial role in welcoming international travelers.
Meanwhile, Phu Quoc recorded a spectacular breakthrough with over 8.1 million visitors in 2025 (1.8 million international visitors), bringing in total tourism revenue of nearly 44,000 billion VND. The combination of the dynamic beauty and rich culture of the Central region with the secluded, high-class resort and entertainment ecosystem in Phu Quoc promises to create an attractive inter-regional tourism product for visitors.
Sun PhuQuoc Airways' flight network strategy
Sun PhuQuoc Airways is the first airline in Vietnam named after an island, invested and developed by Sun Group following a "hub-and-spoke" network model, with Phu Quoc as the central connection point, aiming to build seamless travel journeys linked to the resort - entertainment - leisure ecosystem on the Jade Island.

Along with Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, the official operation of routes to Nha Trang and Da Nang marks an important completion step in the connectivity network between the Jade Island (Phu Quoc) and the largest economic and tourism centers in the country.
On that foundation, Sun PhuQuoc Airways continues to promote its strategy of expanding its international flight network towards key markets in the region. The airline plans to open its first international routes from Phu Quoc to Taipei and Seoul by the end of March and mid-April 2026. In the second and third quarters of 2026, the flight network will continue to expand to Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, India, and Malaysia.

The airline is expanding its international flight network in 2026
Despite being a “newcomer”, the airline has quickly acquired a fleet of 10 modern aircraft, including 6 newly delivered Airbus A321neo aircraft, completed core maintenance safety certifications from the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam, and consistently ranks among the leaders in the entire Vietnamese aviation industry for on-time performance (OTP). In parallel with network expansion, on February 18, 2026, in Washington D.C. (USA), Sun PhuQuoc Airways signed a contract worth USD 22.5 billion to purchase 40 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner wide-body aircraft, marking the largest Boeing wide-body aircraft order in Vietnamese aviation history.
