Phase 1 will see the development of three key projects: a high-end eco-tourism and entertainment complex and the Cuoi Ha cable car system; a new rural residential area, resettlement infrastructure, and Qui Hoa housing; and the expansion of the Serena Resort, a tourism, spa, and entertainment complex. The total area exceeds 240 hectares and includes over 2500 villas, townhouses with commercial components, resort villas, etc., along with a modern entertainment system and synchronized infrastructure.

These projects are built with a vision to create a high-end resort town, scientifically and harmoniously combining architectural elements and maximizing the value of Kim Boi's hot springs, along with the mountainous landscape and pristine nature and cool year-round temperatures of Doi Thung. This area is considered the second Tam Dao of Northern Vietnam, even comparable to the Alpine regions of Switzerland, offering a living and resort space with unparalleled value for owners and visitors.
The Cuoi Ha Eco-tourism, Entertainment, and Cable Car System project in Kim Boi is the largest, covering nearly 200 hectares with a total investment of VND 6,656 billion. The project aims to create a high-end entertainment, eco-tourism, and hot spring space, with 1,200 villa homes, 700 townhouses with commercial components, integrated with resort villas, luxury hotels managed by world-class brands, and modern entertainment complexes.

The overall project is divided into northern and southern sections. The northern section is planned for eco-residential development, resorts, lakefront villas, and island villas, highlighted by a scenic lake. The southern section will feature a variety of eco-housing options. This area will also include event and meeting spaces, a water park, a central lake park, a cultural village-style hotel, and landscape parks.

A highlight of this complex is the 4.5km Cuoi Ha cable car line, with the Kim Boi departure station inspired by the stilt houses of the Muong people. The Doi Thung arrival station is designed with European inspiration, recreating a beautiful Swiss village in the mountains.
Located at an altitude of nearly 1,000m above sea level, Doi Thung has a year-round cool climate. With its pristine natural ecosystem, it creates a clean, peaceful, and oxygen-rich environment – extremely suitable for high-class resort activities, physical recovery, and therapy. This will be the place to create a European-style resort space, highlighted by a "Hot Spring Park" possessing valuable Kim Boi minerals, exposed from ancient limestone strata dating back approximately 250 million years, containing special minerals that are good for health.

The park offers a unique mineral bath experience based on three major cultures: the Swiss Alps, Rome, and Turkey. The Roman bath area fully recreates the traditional bathing process with Frigidarium (cold), Tepidarium (warm), Caldarium (hot), and Laconium (super hot) pools, combined with an outdoor pool system, a hydrotherapy area, and a specialized Roman massage area using essential oils. The Turkish bath area is designed like a traditional Hammam, with an art-light dome, dry and wet saunas, hot stones, etc. There is also a chain of outdoor mineral soaking facilities, cave pools, mud baths, cold saunas, soaking pools for children, and over 30 mineral pools designed in the characteristic terraced rice paddy model of Northwest Vietnam.

Doi Thung is also shaping up to be a unique cultural and resort experience center, bringing together the essence of craftsmanship and the slow-living spirit of classic Europe, with a "Swiss village" offering a variety of traditional European experiences: from bakeries, cheese shops, chocolate shops, and ceramics workshops, to European-Vietnamese cooking classes, tea shops, a village square with a clock tower, and a European-style church. Interspersed are seasonal agricultural farms – Cao Phong orange orchards, Tan Lac pomelo orchards, plum, grape, bee, and strawberry farms, and areas for horseback riding and a children's zoo. More than just a resort destination, Doi Thung is where visitors can experience Europe in the heart of Northwest Vietnam, to slow down amidst the fresh, cool air all year round.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Bui Duc Hinh - Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoa Binh Province, emphasized: “These are key, strategic projects of Hoa Binh province in the new development phase; the project is expected to create a high-class, modern, eco-tourism and resort urban space with its own unique identity; at the same time, contributing to gradually improving the tourism and service infrastructure for Hoa Binh province”.

The project complex, in the context of provincial merger, also plays a pioneering role, shaping the economic and tourism development map of the entire midland and northern mountainous region, creating conditions for Hoa Binh and Phu Tho in the future to maximize the strengths of landscape, culture and tourism resources, enhance competitiveness, and attract domestic and foreign investment capital.
Benefiting from Hoa Binh's upgrading of infrastructure connecting with a series of projects expected to be completed in 2026, shortening the travel time from Hanoi to Kim Boi to only 1 hour, this complex, when completed, will not only contribute to making Kim Boi in particular, Hoa Binh and Phu Tho in the future in general become a leading hot spring resort in the country, but also a place to live and enjoy a clean and interesting corner of Switzerland that few people know before./.
