The APEC Convention Center Project, with a total investment of VND 21.86 trillion, is an iconic project serving national foreign policy objectives. The project has an impressive scale of 16.06 ha, comprising APEC Park, a Multipurpose Theater, and a Convention & Exhibition Center. The Multipurpose Theater has a roof area of 17,200 m², comprising 6 floors above ground and 1 basement level with a capacity of 4,094 seats, designed by leading US consulting firms such as SOM and Apeiro in a circular shape - a symbol of Heaven, adjacent to the square Convention Center symbolizing Earth. The Convention Center has a total floor area of 157,375 m², comprising 4 floors above ground and 1 basement level, with a highlight being a column-free ballroom with an 81m span, an area of 11,050 m², currently recognized as the largest in the world, surpassing Caesars Forum in Las Vegas.

Despite the architectural and technical complexity, the overall progress of the two main items, the Convention Center and the Multipurpose Theater, remains at about 33% of the total construction volume. According to a detailed report from Sun Group, the Convention Center project in Sub-zone S3 has completed 100% of the foundation and reached 31% of the structural work. The absolute completion of the foundation is an important prerequisite to ensure the technical aspects for the giant column-free structure. Steel structure erection work is expected to be completed by January 31, 2026, exterior finishing by June 30, 2026, and interior finishing by January 31, 2027. Meanwhile, the completion level of the Multipurpose Theater (Zone S2) has also reached 95% of the foundation and 20.5% of the structural work. Similarly, this item will complete steel structure by January 31, 2026, exterior finishing by June 30, 2026, and interior finishing by January 31, 2027.

Interior completion milestones simultaneously in Q1/2027 demonstrate the investor's absolute commitment to ensuring the project becomes operational on time to serve the APEC event, while also opening up ideal spaces for future shows, grand concerts, and international film festivals.
Along with that, the expansion project of Phu Quoc International Airport also records very favorable progress, especially in phase 1 serving APEC 2027 . Specifically, from July 2025, a series of key items have been intensively deployed, including the construction of new runway number 2, VIP terminal, a reception area for delegates, and terminal T2, with a construction intensity of up to 700 large piles per month. According to the approved plan, the airport after expansion will reach code 4E, eligible to receive wide-body aircraft such as Boeing 747, 787, or Airbus A350. Currently, the project is closely following the approved plan with results: Terminal T2 has completed 85% of its rough structure; VIP terminal has achieved 100% rough structure and steel structure, 10% MEP and finishing; runway number 2 has achieved 30% of its volume; cumulative output of the entire project reached VND 2,370 billion. In just 4 months, the entire terminal building has been constructed up to the 4th floor, aiming for full completion by March 2027, a record speed in the aviation industry.
