AfterGlow is a brand-new nighttime show in the Ba Na By Night series at Sun World Ba Na Hills. The show is held in a private performance area within the Beer Plaza restaurant, lasting 30 minutes, from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM daily (except Tuesdays).
AfterGlow is staged as a cabaret, combining music, dance, visuals, and stage performance. The show's setting revolves around the Moon Kingdom – a fantasy world – where beauty, love, and light exist beyond ordinary limits. Without dialogue, the entire story is told through body language, light, and music – providing a seamless, uninterrupted visual experience.
Inspired by the image of Queen Marie Antoinette, AfterGlow portrays a luxurious, romantic, and somewhat contradictory world, where all norms of gender, power, and emotion are revisited through the lens of performance art. This is the only show in Ba Na to adopt this approach – both sensual and rich in imagery, suitable for audiences who appreciate a deeper emotional nighttime experience.
Not only does it create a highlight with its novel content, but AfterGlow also makes a strong impression with its carefully selected cast and elaborate staging. The show features 15 female dancers, embodying "moon goddesses" with a sensual and captivating performance style, yet full of aesthetic and artistic value.
In particular, two famous transgender beauty queens from Thailand – Ning and Nanny – appear as the Black Queen and the Blood Queen, creating two central, contrasting characters. From their physique and demeanor to their acting ability and stage presence, they become the focal point of the show, telling the story of the Moon Kingdom vividly and profoundly.
The director of the entire program is Vit Den – a familiar name in the field of choreography and stage direction. He has made his mark with shows like Anh trai say Hi, Em xinh say Hi, and notably, he was behind the eye-catching choreography in Hoa Minzy's Bac Bling MV. With AfterGlow, Vit Den doesn't simply stage a performance but creates a storytelling space where every movement and every glance has a clear purpose within the script's structure.
Another noteworthy aspect of AfterGlow comes from the costumes and props. All are custom-designed and tailored for each artist. Each dress, fan, necklace, or hairstyle is linked to the character's personality and role in the storyline. This investment not only helps the audience better receive the visual aspects but also demonstrates the show's professionalism.
In particular, the AfterGlow performance area is located in a separate space at the Beer Plaza restaurant, in a dedicated zone that has been pre-planned for sound, lighting, and stage performance, and only serves customers over 18 years old. Therefore, the space ensures the necessary privacy while allowing the program to operate stably without affecting other customer groups.
With its private performance space, fresh content, and significant, professional investment, AfterGlow promises to offer tourists a novel and captivating experience while enjoying the Ba Na night. This is a must-see show in your Da Nang travel itinerary this summer.
