In the category of the most beautiful islands in Asia-Pacific in 2025, Phu Quoc is the only representative of Vietnam to be named, excelling in third place, surpassing many familiar names such as Palawan (Philippines), Langkawi (Malaysia), or Sumba (Indonesia), only behind Bali (Indonesia) and Koh Samui (Thailand). This achievement extends the island's winning streak in international rankings over the past two years.

Among the islands of Vietnam, Phu Quoc has the largest area, famous for its beautiful beaches such as Bai Kem, Bai Sao with smooth, cream-like white sand, mild nature, and calm, clear water. In addition to the natural landscape, the island is also considered one of the most attractive destinations in Vietnam due to its many iconic entertainment ecosystems, interesting cultural and historical experiences, and diverse accommodation options ranging from budget-friendly to ultra-luxury.
In mid-January 2025, the prestigious Forbes magazine also featured Phu Quoc in the topic “Discovering 6 off-the-beaten-path but luxurious destinations in 2025”. Forbes praised Phu Quoc for its seemingly endless coastline, inviting white sand beaches, and breathtakingly clear water. “This island also boasts one of the most spectacular sunsets in Southeast Asia,” Forbes commented.
According to statistics from the General Department of Tourism, by the end of May 2025, Phu Quoc is estimated to have welcomed over 4.5 million visitors, up 33.3% year-on-year, reaching 61.1% of the annual plan, including nearly 900,000 international visitors, up 76.7% year-on-year.
