Especially when sunset descends, standing amidst the vast space of the 3,143m summit, visitors can fill their lungs with the fresh air, and all daily worries seem to vanish, replaced by overwhelming emotions before the majestic yet poetic beauty of the "Roof of Indochina".
Not only stopping at the majestic natural experience, visitors to Fansipan this summer have the opportunity to enjoy a unique experimental art performance titled " Dinh Thieng Du Ky " – a show uniquely staged specifically for Fansipan's terrain. Taking the majestic nature as its stage, the program consists of three acts, gathering 26 local artists and artisans, taking place at three iconic locations stretching from an altitude of 1,500m to the peak of 3,143m.
The artistic journey begins at May village (1,500m) with the first chapter titled “Northwest Market Fair” featuring the melodious sound of Mong flutes, the bustling calls of the market fair, and the colorful dances of the highland girls. The second chapter, “White Cloud Path,” takes the audience to a serene spiritual space at Bich Van Zen Monastery (2,800m) with an emotional contemporary lotus dance performance amidst drifting clouds.
Then, reaching the pinnacle of “Sacred Peak Pilgrimage,” is the final chapter, taking place at Fansipan peak at an altitude of 3,143m. Amidst the vast space, powerful singing echoes through the great wilderness, resonating with national pride and intense love for the country. Each chapter is a thread connecting people with nature, with the sacred cultural roots of the Northwest highlands.
Visit Fansipan, don't forget to visit Ban May, a small village nestled amidst clouds and mountains, where ethnic minority people live to experience the highland culture. On the upcoming weekend of July 12-13, this place will vibrantly host the Xoe Festival, a unique cultural event inspired by the traditional dances of the Northwest ethnic groups.
At the festival, visitors will immerse themselves in the vibrant cultural tapestry of the Northwest mountains: from the traditional weddings of the Dao people, the unique egg dyeing rituals of the Giay people, the soulful Then singing of the Tay people, the rustic lullabies of the Xa Pho people, to the art of brocade weaving and khen flute playing of the Mong people, or the rammed earth house building techniques of the Ha Nhi people. Don't miss the opportunity to join the grand Xoe dance with ethnic people in the community yard of May village. The festival is not just a journey of cultural discovery, but also an occasion for visitors to touch the rhythm of life, the soul, and the unique identity of the Sa Pa highlands.
Fansipan emerges as an ideal summer stopover, with its cool climate, fresh air, and majestic mountain and forest scenery. More than just a journey to conquer the height of 3,143m, this place offers a complete experience of vibrant local culture and rich highland cuisine.
